The 42' Bertram caught on fire in Port Everglades, FL. TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale responded. Both passengers were removed from the vessel by Law Enforcement. TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale took the vessel in tow to a dock inside Port Everglades to allow Fire Rescue to fight the fire from the dock. Salvage crew boarded the casualty and assisted in extinguishing the fire. Salvage crew deployed containment boom to control any pollution. The vessel was refloated and towed to a marine facility for haul out. |
