Captain Mike Knecht and Shannon Harvilla both had their 1st child during 2009. Both are baby girls which were born happy and healthy!
Shannon Harvilla is the company's Purchasing and Inventory Specialist; he also takes care of a myriad of other tasks within the company including inside sales to recreational boaters and commercial customers, and booking all of the company's travel arrangements. Shannon and his wife Crystal announced the birth of their baby girl, Olivia Grace Harvilla on March 26th, 2009 at 14:09 hours. Olivia was 20.5 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces at birth.
Captain Michael Knecht is the supervisor of the company's yacht towing division; TowBoatU.S. New River. Mike is a skilled boat handler with thousands of hours underway towing large motor yachts; he has made many friends within the yachting industry throughout the years and is easily recognizable as the amiable captain wearing a stiff brimmed hat running the tug Shillelagh. Mike and his wife Becky announced the birth of their baby girl, Grace Makani Knecht one day before the opening day of the 50th Anniversary Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 28th 2009 at 13:33 hours. Grace was 19.25 inches tall and weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces at birth.
