Yard Period

On September 29th 2008, the 96' M/V Richard L. Becker was hauled out at Lauderdale Marine Center in Ft Lauderdale Florida. The boat is undergoing her 5 year ABS inspection as well as her U.S. Coast Guard T Boat Dry Dock Inspection. During this yard period the boat will undergo extensive hull thickness testing, all tanks will be blasted and painted, topside and bottom paint jobs will be completed and the propellers will be reconditioned. The vessel's crew will also work on the mooring system during this time including the winch, anchor and pulpit to ultimately insure the boats continued ability to anchor reliably. Initial reports from the crew and the contractors are that the boat remains in excellent condition and she should be ready for service by October 20th, 2008.
